His clients value his independence, experience, and ability to bring calm order to complex challenges.

Richard Reeves is a Chartered Civil Engineer and senior project executive with over 30 years’ experience leading major infrastructure and built-environment programmes across the UK and internationally. He has delivered some of the most challenging projects in defence, nuclear, rail, water, and complex construction — consistently achieving outcomes to quality, time, and budget.

From managing the £126m Oshogbo-Ede Water Supply Scheme in Nigeria — the largest of its kind in Africa — to restoring stakeholder confidence at the Orion laser research facility for the Ministry of Defence, Richard has built a reputation for tackling complexity with discipline, clarity, and calm authority. He has negotiated multi-million-pound contracts, resolved critical programme risks, and re-established robust project controls on schemes ranging from nuclear submarine facilities at Faslane to high-speed rail signalling on the Channel Tunnel Rail Link.

Throughout his career, Richard has been trusted to step into high-stakes situations, diagnose the real issues, and lead programmes back to stability and control.

His strengths include:

  • Project controls & risk management — establishing earned value systems and recovering failing schedules.

  • Stakeholder alignment — building clarity and confidence across client teams, contractors, and regulators.

  • Outcome-focused delivery — safeguarding milestones, reputation, and long-term programme success.

An Approach Built on Values

Richard believes successful project leadership is about more than processes — it is about clarity, integrity, and accountability. He works closely with clients to understand their objectives, challenge assumptions where necessary, and establish practical, disciplined pathways to delivery.

His guiding philosophy is simple: projects succeed when people trust both the process and the leadership behind it.

Today

Through Reeves Project Management, Richard provides independant programme leadership and assurance for complex infrastructure and construction initiatives. He supports organisations facing delivery pressure — restoring clarity, strengthening control, and enabling confident, informed decision-making.

Key Questions

  • We act solely in our clients’ interests. Reeves Project Management has no ties to contractors, suppliers or design teams — enabling objective advice and clear, evidence-based decision-making throughout each commission.

  • Both models are available depending on scope and duration. For short, defined assignments we usually agree a fixed fee; for medium- and longer-term engagements we may work on weekly or monthly retainers, with clear deliverables and transparent reporting.

  • Each engagement begins with a short diagnostic review to identify root causes, risks and delivery constraints. We then implement focused interventions that restore structure, confidence and control — without disrupting ongoing operations.

  • Our experience spans complex infrastructure and built-environment programmes — including Defence, Nuclear, Rail, and major public-sector investments. The common thread is high-value, high-visibility delivery where assurance and leadership matter most.
